15. Narrow Edging

"Narrow Edging" features eyelets along the upper edge, a row of very large eyelets below and a saw-tooth lower edge. The stitch count increases from 5 to 9 in the first row and the added stitches are bound off in the last row of the 4-row repeat.

You can download the full-size chart, verbal instructions and notes here.

This pattern is another from a newspaper clipping, contributed to the paper by a certain "Mrs. L. McW."

Thanks for another great pattern. I can think of lots of uses for this one. The eyelets are perfect to use for a draw-string or weaving in a ribbon. It would be nice for a dainty handkerchief edging or even to add a little color to the edge of a kitchen towel.

Hi! And what a lovely pattern. I have been looking for an edging to put on a set of kitchen towels that I have embroidered and I think that this would be nice. Can you tell me what the size of needles and thread to use? Thanks in advance!
